Woman of color! All of you no matter where you are in the Diaspora and no matter the shade of your colored skin, know that Empress Menen Asfaw of Ethiopia represented us all.
This regal queen who wore the crown of Queen Makeda of Sheba and wore the ornaments of ancient and mighty Queen Candace set the standard for all of us to follow. She led her country with humility and grace, and was well-loved by all. She gave generously of her own money for the building of schools for girls including fields such as nursing, education, needlework, and all of the many skills that craft women from all over Ethiopia have made an upright living by.
His Divine Majesty and the Empress set about schooling thousands of Ethiopians beyond a high school education. Many were sent abroad while others received degrees from institutions of higher learning at home.
Not one Ethiopian student in all the years of their reign decided to remain out of the country. Rather, they all returned home and assisted in vital fields like agriculture, infrastructure, and industry. This showed that all the citizens of Ethiopia saw the Emperor and the Empress as their Father and Mother.
This love extended beyond those who were born in Ethiopia in this reincarnation, but also to those who came up out of the West. The Divine Monarchs proved their loved for all of us African descendants here in the West by offering a land grant in the amount of 500 acres for the use of all Africans anywhere in the Diaspora who wished to return home. The land of Seshemane is fertile farm land, so much so that the evil regimes that followed their reign have cut down a significant portion of the 500 acres and turned it back over to the government, but they could never take away all. Today, people from all over the Diaspora live and have a thriving community in Seshemane, and have been able to eat off the fruit of the land there. No other reigning monarch anywhere in the world has ever given such a benevolent grant to people outside of its country, and would not see it fit to amalgamte such people into its own society.
But King Alpha and Queen Omega Mother and Father of Creation proved divine love. To date, it is the only place in the world where I can say i can own a piece of the land and will not be ran out and treated as a vagabond. Long live our King and Queen of Creation! King Alpha and Queen Omega I Selassie I Jah Rastafari.
Pure Divine Love
